Coaches

Three coaches run Cast Yard. You’ll see the same faces week to week — and they’ll notice if your squat depth slips.

Portrait of coach Maya Okonkwo, fictional

HIIT · Spin

Maya Okonkwo

Maya built the early HIIT blocks and still coaches most of the 06:30 sessions. She came from athletics coaching in Leeds and likes intervals that leave nothing vague.

Ask her about pacing if you’re new to Spin — she’ll set your bike before the playlist kicks in.

Portrait of coach Jordan Hale, fictional

Strength · HIIT

Jordan Hale

Jordan programmes the Strength classes and covers evening HIIT. Previously a strength & conditioning coach for club rugby. Expect clear cues and honest load choices.

If you’re returning after time off, tell him at the warm-up — he’ll adjust the session without making a fuss.

Portrait of coach Priya Nair, fictional

Mobility · HIIT

Priya Nair

Priya runs Mobility and midweek HIIT. She trained in physiotherapy support work before coaching full time and keeps the room focused without turning it into a lecture.

Bring sticky shoulders or tight hips — she’ll give you options that still feel like training.
